It’s a tedious process to replicate the same meeting on multiple days, especially if it’s daily and with a lot of information.
For example, early AM meetings tend to meet daily. So it ends up being the exact same meeting but on multiple days.
Either add days of the week check boxes or copy meeting feature.

The plugin does provide a solution. It distinguishes between a group (unique) and mmeetings (name can be different) by that group. When you look at the csv example file for import the column after date and time is the name of the meeting. Further down where it shows group and district is where the unique group name goes.

Meeting names can be different from the group or the same. You could name is by the day.

    Hope this helps.

I’m not saying it’s not possible to replicate the same meeting, I’m saying it’s tedious.
Once I create the meeting details I don’t want to go through the same process again for each day.

Copy paste, change day/time in csv and import? How else would you do it… Somebody has to do the work…

I believe you misunderstand my issue. I’m talking about using the plug-in to add new meetings, including daily duplicate meetings.
I understand I can export the csv dbase from the plug-in cut and paste then import it again. That’s kind of tedious too.

Maybe I am misunderstanding… it is possible ??
What I was suggesting is making the CSV (I happen to do that via another database that makes the data entry a bit easier) with as many rows as there are meeting locations. All rows would show the same info, except for the daily meeting date/time and possibly name of the meeting.
I think what you might be thinking of is the ability to have a checkbox that says: recurring meeting. For my program this does not happen a lot if ever but I can see the use of it for AA meetings, that very often have a fixed time for each day. It might be something worth considering for the development team if enough people want/need it.

Is this what you were referring to?

    That’s correct.
It’s primarily an issue with early morning meetings which tend to be daily.
Probably will get more with the proliferation of zoom meetings wanted to be listed in our dbase.

I use the method of exporting to CSV, copy / paste six times, edit each row replacing the day of the week, and importing the CSV back in.

On the one hand, I’m thrilled that we have a solution at all. I used to edit HTML by hand. ??

So I am super grateful we have this tool. Thank you, Devs!

On the other hand, I can see how it would be super nice to have a layout of eight checkboxes, Sunday through Saturday plus Appointment (instead of the drop-down with eight choices), and then let the program code do the work for me (iterating through each checkbox selection).

I don’t know: is there a specific place where I can lodge enhancement requests?

I just hate exporting and importing the dbase when we have such a lovely plug-in available.

The thing I miss most myself is the ability to do a true edit. I am not even sure what the plugin relies on to determine whether an imported group is an update or a new one. I can see, when you go to the details/edit screen that there is a POST ID but this is probably from WordPress rather than the plugin. We all manage our data differently, but for me it would be wonderful if, in the csv export, this ID is visible so I can use it.
In the database that I use to manage my 300 plus listings I have the ability to go directly from that database to the edit page of the listing if only I had that POST ID.
I am not familiar with how the backend of WordPress can be accessed unfortunately.

I believe that you would have to go to the Github page to ask for features that require new development. The info is in the import/settings page, I think.

    Hi @mikecnc,

Please come over to our dev site and create feature requests for things you’d like to see. And if you’re a developer, we could use some help if you know php & WordPress.

    Thanks.
