Technorati & my WordPress blog – deleted and updated posts
-
Hello.
I realise that this may not be the most appropriate place to ask about Technorati, but my issue is related to my WordPress blog, so figured I’d try here anyway (since I can’t find a Technorati-specific forum).
Basically, I’ve claimed my WP blog. Every time I publish a blog entry, it appears on Technorati. In search results, my entry and the first few sentances are displayed. Great.
Except – when I edit the entry, the Technorati entry isn’t updated. When I delete the entry, it still appears on Technorati (its url now going to an Error 404 obviously).
I’ve tried sending an update ping from my Technorati control panel, but this doesn’t update to reflect my blog.
Essentially what I’m asking is: Is there no way to get back or change the content associated with my blog when I hit that Publish button in WordPress?
If so, does anyone else find this a frustrating situation?
Maybe I’m being a bit slow but I can’t believe that I have so little control over what appears on Technorati from my blog – so much so that I’m thinking of de-claiming my blog on there.
Any thoughts/advice on this?
