    Hello,

Several times since the last updates when iThemes became Solid Security, WP detected an error when loading the plugin Solid Security. Each time WP sends me an email (new functionality from the latest version) :

    Bonjour !

    WordPress version 6.4.1
Thème actif : Astra Child (version 1.0.0) Extension actuelle : Solid Security Basic (version 9.0.3) PHP version 8.0.30

    Détails de l’erreur
    ======================
Message d’erreur : Uncaught ArgumentCountError: 6 arguments are required, 5 given in /home/orchidb/www/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/core/modules/two-factor/includes/template.php:98
    Stack trace:
    #0 /home/orchidb/www/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/core/modules/two-factor/includes/template.php(98): printf('Pour les appare...', '', '

When I enter “recuperation mode” via the link in the email, I can reload the plugin and it works fine for a week or so, but it happens again a few days later.

Plus, there is a HUGE security issue that might be linked to this problem: the Solid Security settings are available to all members! Luckily I only have staff members that have an account. Here is an example of a test account I created with subscriber permissions: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1FVKajk7FS5ASa8QIv3dKFqKdOFSLEtSi?usp=sharing

    Can you help with that?

    Thanks.

Hi @ausar920, thanks for reaching out and we’re here to help!

The Uncaught ArgumentCountError: 6 arguments are required, 5 given in /home/orchidb/www/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/core/modules/two-factor/includes/template.php:98 is related to the 2FA configuration translation issue you’re having on this post.

To resolve this, you’ll need to contact the translation editors for French Solid Security, as suggested by @nlpro, or you can ask for guidance via the Slack #polyglots channel mentioned here:?Before you get started.

As for your subscriber user having access to the plugin’s settings, I’ve spun up a test site to replicate, but as expected, the subscriber user I created does not have access to the settings. Can you make sure that the “Manage Solid Security” setting in your Security > Settings > User Groups > Contributors is OFF? You can also try editing the Contributors user group and checking the “Subscriber Capabilities” to see if that helps.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi @shanedelierrr,

Thanks for your help. I just contacted a translation editor regarding the 2FA problem I have.

The “Contributors” options were obviously OFF, but I resolved the problem. It was due to my misunderstanding of the “Security > Settings > User Groups > Change the group” setting. I thought checking the boxes would add all the member capabilities to the Administrators group, not give administrator capabilities to every other group. I think the translation could be improved there.

    It is fixed, thanks!
