te% shortcode not working

Hi, I am trying to customize the email that gets sent upon booking an appointment. I’ve used the name, time and email shortcode, those work fine. However the %date% shortcode doesn’t seem to work. Upon saving settings, the %date% shortcode appears as te%.

How can this be rectified?
