    Hi @crjensen

    TCPDF (3rd party software bundled with WaterWoo PDF) comes to that error when the PDF file cannot be opened for watermarking.

    Please first verify the file location is correct and also that the file is not encrypted, watermarked, or passworded.

    Location is correct.
    I created the PDF in Adobe Indesign – and chose these settings:
    1: I tried both a newer and older version of Acrobat (PDF 1.3 and 1.4)
    2: I made sure the resulting PDF wasn’t coded or watermarked.

    …but I still get the same result, every time.

    This is the latest version of the PDF I created:

    Hi again @crjensen

    I’ve set up a similar WP environment with your PDF and cannot duplicate the problem – the file watermarks well for me. You’ve provided “Bibelcampingbogen-A4udgave.pdf” but in your earlier TCPDF error message the file name was “Bibelcampingbogen-A4udgave_1562767640_1.pdf,” which suggests a manipulated (watermarked) file due to the extra characters (a timestamp, probably) after the file name but before the file extension (.pdf). Please take another look at your WooCommerce product setup, especially the URL to the file.

    1: I had manually uploaded the PDF file to a folder. I then tried uploading through WordPress’ own file manager. That took care of the problem! The file now downloads with the watermark, BUT…:
    2: The plugin has created extra blank pages and put the watermark on those pages. What’s up with that? (the original file is a horisontal A4, and I have set the Y Fine Tuning to 296.

    Great! Yes, the files must be uploaded into WP file uploads via the WooCommerce product editor.

    Y tuning at 183 is about as many millimeters as you can go down the horizontal A4 page. I’ll look into margins a little further for you, though, since the update to version 2.4 might have carried over a 10mm margin.

    Thank you! Let me know if I should update the plugin after you have looked at it.

    @crjensen

    I just released version 2.4.1, which addresses extra margins on the page. Now the Y-axis is measured from 0,0mm at top left, and for your A4, a 203mm Y-adjustment works to move it to the very bottom of the page. Please let me know if you need any further help, otherwise I will be closing this support ticket. Thank you!

    Thank you very much!
