Taxonomy SEO ≠ Thesis fields

    WordPress SEO version: 1.3.4.4

    I did this: installed Yoast SEO on Headway theme

    I expected the plugin to do this: provide functionality for taxonomies (categories, tags and custom post type taxonomies) similar to Thesis

    Instead it did this: there are two critical fields missing to create a great user experience and add SEO value at the same time:

    • Introductory Title
    • Introductory Description with HTML

    Example: Organic Cinnamon Recipes

    So the question is:

    1) are adding these fields in the plugin’s development path?
    2) if no, any advice on where I should have my developer start – do I want to develop a separate plugin to handle these two fields, for instance?
