    Hi,

I’m trying to customise the structure so that my Post items and Taxonomies use a Page as a root.

For example I have Tips and Tricks (/tips-tricks/) is a Page item.

For posts, I set “tips-tricks/%postname%/“ in the settings and all is working fine. I get /tips-tricks/black-white/ with an actual content. In this case Black White is a post.

But when I define taxonomy to work as “tips-tricks/%slug%/“, for a category e.g “Style”, I get 404 error on “/tips-tricks/style”

Strangely, if I use anything different instead of “tips-tricks” (which is an actual page) in the taxonomy path, such as only “tips” (which is made up), e.g. “tips/style” then it works .

I have re-generated links on the category and flushed all I could.

    Hi Sami,

v2.6.0 installed. Unfortunately, I get no redirections in taxonomy at all. No matter what term I use it’s using the default WP structure.

I’ve tried flushing permalinks, saving permalinks… clearing cache… to no avail.

No new entries appearing under taxonomy permalinks.

    Sorry.P

@csclubtauranga Have you tried to create new taxonomy and check the permalink?

I have created a page and the permalink of the page is “tips-tricks” and created a taxonomy with the name of the test so, it creates the permalink tips-tricks/test and it works fine for me.

Please check and let me know what’s going wrong in your scenario.

    Regards,
    Sami

Of course, my bad! I needed to go back to the category and click re-generate permalink.

    It’s working fine.

Many thanks for all your help.

    P.
