Taxonomy filters appear in header and sidebar. Multiple select taxonomies incorr

Hi I have a couple of problems:
1) The filter dropdown lists are appearing both at the top of the page and also in the sidebar widget. I want the taxonomy filters only in the sidebar widget.

2)I’m using Advanced Custom Fields plugin to define my taxonomies. The taxonomies are text fields, multiple select lists and checkboxes, only the text fields work correctly the multipl select and checkbox taxonomies show incorrect number of occurrences (only 0 or 1) in the taxonomy filters.
