I created a taxonomy for a custom post type called “Resource Categories”. How can I display the terms in checkboxes instead of having to type them for my custom post type?

Never mind. I was able to do this with the ACF Plugin.

I was actually able to get the custom taxonomy to show as checkboxes without having to add an ACF field, but I honestly don’t remember how I did it? I set a few options to false, and then it happened. Can you tell me what setting to adjust to get the custom taxonomy to appear as checkboxes?

Never mind again. I found it. I just set hierarchical to true.

Setting the taxonomy to “hierarchical” would have achieved this as well, making them behave more like categories than tags.

I forgot to hit refresh before replying, and we came to the same conclusion ??

    Welcome

Hi. I’m having this issue too! I can’t seem to get them to show as a checkbox – can you list which are set to false and which are set to true? I did it once accidentally but can’t seem to recreate it.

    Thank you ??
