Taxes not being applied – why not?!

It may have something to do with your PayPal account type, please try creating a tax profile on PayPal: https://wpplugin.org/documentation/how-do-i-create-tax-profiles/

Thank you, but I have already done this step and adding all the Canadian provinces. When I go to test, it won’t apply when using the Event Tickets plugin method. It seems to add it otherwise. Thoughts??

Are you testing on Sandbox mode but setting up the tax profile on your live account?

If you want to test tax profiles in test sandbox mode, then you also have to create the tax profile on your sellers sandbox account.

No, I’m testing live. Tax account set up on live account. If you simply go to this page and add 1 item to your cart, then go to proceed to pay, you will notice that no tax is being added (either logged in or not).
