Do you offer tax calculations for “marketplaces”, using WooCommerce, in WordPress?

The current calculations are for 1 store.

My “marketplace” is for sellers from different Canadian provinces selling to customers based in various provinces.

This is why I need to ask you if you have an enhanced plugin, for WooCommerce, that would support this particular need.

    Many thanks!

    Hi @logixca,

To automatically calculate taxes based on the store address, which is the case here since you’re mentioning sellers from different Canadian provinces, you can use WooCommerce Shipping & Tax. Take a look at its documentation here.

When selling from more than one store location you could also look at standalone tax extensions:

    https://woocommerce.com/product-category/woocommerce-extensions/operations/sales-tax-and-duties/

Just so you know, on paid extensions there is a 30-day refund policy so you can test out the extension with your requirements and make sure it works for you. Here are more details on the refund policy: https://woocommerce.com/refund-policy/.

    Cheers.

Alright, I’m looking into it but just as a head start, here’s a scenario.

The “Example Customer” is based in Quebec (so buying from a Quebec-based Seller, he should be fully taxed, in Quebec).

He buys a product from Quebec (hurray) but he ALSO buys a product from another seller, based in –let’s say– Ontario, with a different tax rate.

Will the extension handle that double taxation reality?

    Many thanks!

    Hello,

Are you using a marketplace plugin? If so, you may also want to ask the plugin developer for suggestions since some tax plugins may not be compatible with that plugin. Otherwise, as Mirko mentioned, you can take advantage of the 30-day refund policy and try different plugins to check if any of them work for your requirements.

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.
