Hello, I would prefer not to share the URL to the website I am developing as my client does not want their competition to know they are working on a new website.

The problem is that when I create a row for a tax rate, the entire row disappears as soon as I save it.

Here is what I have tried so far:

    • deactivated all plugins – didn’t work
    • checked to be sure that all the Woocommerce tax tables were present in the database. They are:
    • deleted the woocommerce_tax_rate_locations table and tried again – didn’t work and the table was not recreated in the DB
    • deactivated and reactivated Woocommerce and tried again – didn’t work

At this point, what other steps do you recommend?

    Still no resolution simdum.

I am facing a strange problem with taxes, I have put the standard rate and also the reduced rate tax but when I am going to a product and try to change the tax to reduced rate when I update it goes back to standard

I was having the same problem, but I found what was causing it for me. I don’t know if this will help anyone, but it was the simplest (stupidest) mistake that was causing it!

When I created a new row in tax rates, I was allowing autofill to fill out the row for me. I tried more than two dozen times before I realized that the country code should be two digits (two letters). Autofill was putting in the entire country name and that is why the row was being rejected. It will ONLY Accept a two letter code for the country.

I hope this helps anyone who has been having this same problem.

TwoGunRosie, you called it. My autofill was doing exactly what you said in the country code. I changed it to “US” and it posted the row.

    Thanks a million!

I’m having the same problem. I enter the info and when I click “Save” it disappears.

Oh, I missed that last comment and yes that solved it for me too!

    Hi all,
    same problem here!
    This worked for me:
When I was filling out the tax rate row, I was allowing autofill to fill it out for me. The thing is, the country code was filling in “Netherlands.” Then after about two dozen attempts, I noticed that the country code should be two digits (two letters). I manually entered “NL” and voila! the tax rate remained when I hit save. It was refusing to accept the entire word for the country.
