Tax rates are not working

Use TAX CLASS. In tax settings you can add multiple tax classes.

In tax class 1 add the 25% rate.
In tax class 2 add the 12% rate

Assign the tax class to the product.

Thanks for the answer. I have used the TAX CLASS, see attached images below. And then I have assigned this tax class to the product. Have I missed something out?

Then assign to products. I don’t think that naming is too good though. Which is standard rate for your location? What is the other for?

I have assigned to products.

The standard rate is 25%.

But I don’t want to use this standard rate. I only want to use the “25%” Tax class and the “12%” tax class.

What should I name them?

use ‘standard’ default tax rate for 25%

Make a ‘reduced rate’ for the 12% and assign that to the product which needs it.

I have done that now.

The only issue is that the 12% rate does not work when I add that product to the cart.

Somehow it still displays 25% tax. See image below please. Should I maybe change priority or something?

Show taxes ‘itemised’ in settings too so they are broken up.

Because I have changed it to show taxtotal per each product.

yeah that was it. If you add one of each product, do you get two tax totals?

I have done that and added 2 products with 2 different tax classes. It only uses the 25% tax class. Please see image below:

It shows 25% even if I have the 12% product in cart ONLY.

I want you to try one of each in the cart at the same time.

Yes I have, It uses the 25% tax rate on the total sum.

Taxes are not calculated on the total, its per product.

With your setup, the tax for 169kr at 12% should be 169 – ( 169 / 1.2 ) = 28.16

it shows on the total yes, but its not calculated on the total.
