Hi there, I see after each update of WC or related plugins like Germanized updated tax sections. This breaks my own tax settings.

After update of WC to 4.0 and latest Germanized plugin I had 8 tax sections, before I had only 5 setup. This should better be coordinated because it can break tax settings on product level.

The only one we need is “Standard, Reduced, no tax, Virtual, Virtual Reduced”.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reporting this. I’d suggest you contact the support team of the WC Germanized project since on our end this is not something we have control over.

    Hi @corsonr
thanks for your response, but it is not at all as you told. I had for testing a staging website with WC 3.8.0 installed and Germanized. I deactivated Germanized and checked which tax sections I have and saw that section no tax was missing.

Than I activated Germanized again, did a upgrade on Germanized because I had a older version installed and checked tax sections again. No new tax section was added.

Than I updated WC to 4.0.1 and checked again: Now no tax (or zero tax) was added by WC at update. If I had renamed tax section of zero tax, than I would have two sections beside with zero tax, right?

So, WC has control over which tax sections should be there and install them if WC thinks there is something missing. Please check.

    Hi again,

That is correct. But Remi’s point about control is that WooCommerce does not declare support for Germanized. But Germanized does declare support for WooCommerce (which we have no control over). That is why you need to work with Germanized support. They know how Germanized declares support for WooCommerce and how to solve this best.

    Kind regards,

With that in mind, I’ll close this on our end.
