    Hello @countrypark,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the discrepancy you’re seeing with taxes in Stripe compared to what’s recorded in your WooCommerce orders.

To understand your site properly, please share the?System Status Report?which you can find via?WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support?so we can take a look. You can paste it via?https://gist.github.com/?and send the link here.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Thanks

Hi, here is the log. I removed some revealing info. If you need those, please provide an email address.

I am also attaching a screenshot of an order in Woocommerce that shows tax and the same order in Stripe, where the Tax is lumped together with the total sale:

    Hi @countrypark,

Hi, Stripe is showing $0 collected tax even though I have Orders that show tax collected.

This is the default behavior; on Stripe, you only see the amount, the Stripe fee, and the net amount. For a more detailed breakdown, you can view the order details on the WooCommerce side, where you’ll see those values as well as the tax, coupon (if applicable), shipping, fees, etc.

I hope this clarifies things! Is there anything else we can help you with?

@omarfpg That’s a great issue as we need a centralized platform for all our Sales Tax reporting.
We ave non-Woocommerce transactions proccessed directly on Stripe.

Is there no way to send over the Tax so that Stripe knows it’s tax?

    Hi @countrypark

By default, the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin doesn’t send tax data to Stripe. For tax reporting, you need to rely on the information in WooCommerce, where all the detailed breakdowns, including tax, shipping, fees, etc., are recorded.

However, you can send the tax data as metadata to Stripe. Here is an example code snippet: https://woocommerce.com/document/stripe/customization/products-as-metadata/

I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get the job done.

@shameemreza It needs to be as Tax in Stripe so that you can run the Stripe tax reports. This is a basic requirement and a major issue with this plugin.

Why wouldn’t you guys send it over as Tax? Is it so hard?

    Hey, @countrypark!

I understand it would be better for you to have it be automatic.

@carolm29 the link you sent is for shipping, not Tax. Can you please share the correct link?

    Thank you

    Hey, @countrypark!

I’m so sorry for sending the wrong link.

    Here’s the correct one: https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/tax/ ??

    Have a wonderful day!
