    Hi my champion freinds

I have added AU tax to Tax in woo. I have ticked both compound and shipping checkboxes.

Tax is not being added to shipping, i have disabled every plugin, and also there is absolutely no errors on debug.log.

I am using Reach Ship app for auto populate shipping c/o australia post australia.

    Is there something im missing?

Is it a reach ship app problem?

    THanks

    Steve

  • Hey there, @kingcooper! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Can you please share screenshots of how you have this set up so we can take a look?

I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    We need screenshots of:

    • WooCommerce > Settings > Taxes
    • WooCommerce > Settings > Taxes > Standard Rates
    • If you have reduced rates and zero rates, please also share those
    • Checkout/cart page showing the taxes on your end

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hey, @kingcooper!

    Thanks for the screenshots!

According to your screenshots the tax should be 10%.
The order is 36 + 24,20, so the tax should be 6,02.
But it is showing as 3,27, which is also not 10% of 36, so there’s something wrong with the tax calculations.

You mentioned you are using Reach Ship app. Is this a third-party plugin? I was not able to find it.

Are you using any plugins that interfere with shipping and/or taxes?

Can you please deactivate them and check if the issue persists when using only WooCommerce as the calculator for tax and shipping?

Please let us know how it goes.

    Looking forward to your reply.

Its incl GST, so its Total price x 0.090909, 1/11, or 10% incl GST.

The amount is correct, although only for products, not shipping.

ReachShip is a third party app.

Also, ive noticed it adds two individual (boxes) for two small products, costing shipping at $26 bucks.

There is no way my clients will pay $26 bucks for two small products shipping.

Is there any advice on setting up shipping better that this? I use this app because i thought these problems wouldnt exist.

Whats your recommendation for finding an article for shipping setting advice, australia.
    Thanks

    Hey, @kingcooper!

ReachShip is a third party app.

Thanks for clarifying. Since the shipping is being handled by a third-party app, that is probably why the taxes are not being added.
The app might not be compatible with the taxes.

You can set up flat rates for the shipping directly on WooCommerce.

You can find more about this in this guide.

There are some plugins that help with making things automatic. We have one called ShipStation for WooCommerce which is available in Australia.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.
