    Dear support,

For our client, e-quine.com, we use WooCommerce for selling products. For ‘normal’ products we set up a tax of 21% and for courses / education we set up a tax of 6%.

However, for some courses more tax is charged, see https://www.mupload.nl/img/n380i7q0pb.34.53.png. We already checked all courses and the right tax is selected.

How can we solve this issue?

    Thanks in advance,
    Casper

Hey @caspertechonomy – first of all, there are quite a few personal details in that screenshot. Would you mind deleting that?

Second, I can see there’s definitely an issue with your tax configuration, because changing the billing country excludes taxes:

Would you mind taking some screenshots of your tax configuration and an example of the courses that have tax added (how you’ve configured taxes there)? I recommend https://snag.gy for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in this chat. It works with Chrome, Firefox and IE.

    Hi Job,

Thanks for your reply. Where can I edit / delete my previous post?

Here you can find some screenshots, please let us know what’s going wrong:

@caspertechonomy. Just removing the link on the source would be more than enough, making sure that the above image points to nowhere. Alternatively, I can find an admin of the forums to delete it. Posts can only be edited for a few hours.

I looked at a product with the same price: https://www.e-quine.com/product/communicatie-1/ given that the one of the screenshots was sold out and couldn’t be added to the cart.

For the Netherlands, 5.66 is 6% of 99.95.

I’ve also changed the address in the checkout to Belgium. You don’t have VAT set up for Belgium, so the 94.29 is the 99.95 without the 6% VAT:

This by the way means that you’ve set your products to be including VAT when you enter the prices, and if there’s no VAT rate for a country, there will not be VAT added to it.

Based on this product, I cannot find anything wrong with your configuration or WooCommerce. The only thing I can think of is that on the product that’s not working, you have a different setting on the variation as to the parent product. Could you check that?

We have solved the tax issue. Can you ask an admin to delete this topic, so the image above will be deleted too? Thanks!

hey @caspertechonomy – we only ask admins to delete topics if they contain sensitive information or don’t follow the community guidelines. There’s no big need to delete this one I think.

    Have a great day!
