Tax is affected by the Coupon

On checkout, Tax is affect by the coupon.
Example, Product Cost = $1000, Coupon = 50% and Tax = 5%.
Coupon is added before tax$1000 – 50% = %500
$1000 * 5% = $50 *this is not yet the total tax. It will still be minus by the coupon. So the total tax = $25Pls help how to fix this
