    Hello
    can this be done?
    – User adds a product to the basket.
    – Then the user chooses between “I am a private person: 0% tax” or “I am a company: 19% tax”
    – And then woocommerce calculates the correct price.

    If it can be done:
Does someone knows anything about how to communicate that for the german market in Archive or on the article page?

    Kind regards
    axel

  • Hello,

I’m not aware of plugins or any easy solution – this is something that would require code customization. We recommend getting in touch with a web developer or one of the experts listed here to have that custom-developed for you.

Alternatively, you could check out Tax Exempt for WooCommerce. It can provide tax exemption to selected customers.

    Hello & Thanx
my question was not about tax exemption.
It was more about two different taxes – not necessarily “0” & “19”
    It could be also “7” & “19”

Is your answer still the same or does that make a difference now?

    Kind regards
    Axel

    Hi,

Thank you for clarifying. Yes, it still requires custom coding as core WooCommerce doesn’t have the ability to show options to select at checkout, and conditionally calculate the total based on the selection.

I can recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce. You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack.
