    Hello,

I’ve got a problem with your tax calculation. My WooCommerce Shop shows invalid taxes, which I didn’t even define anywhere.

That’s how it’s looking right now:

    Total 59,90 €
    incl. 19% VAT 9,56 € (NOT 19%; WTH ?!)

And that’s how it’s supposed to be:

    Total 59,90 €
    incl. 19% VAT 11,38 €

I really don’t know why the shop calculates it wrong.

You can find the shop at https://www.fancyclothing.de – Just put one item in the cart and go to the cart / checkout to see my problem.

I hope someone can help me out with this, I tried everything :/

    Kind Regards,

  • A tax rate is always a percentage of the price before tax is added.

    What did you select at:
Admin page > WooCommerce > Settings > Tax tab, prices entered with tax.
Did you select “Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax” or “No, I will enter prices exclusive of tax”?

If you selected “Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax” and entered a price of 59.90, then:

    price-before-tax + (price-before-tax x 19%) = 59.90

    solving…

    price-before-tax = 59.9 / 119% = £50.33

    tax = 59.90 – 50.33 = 9.56

    and a as a check,
    50.33 + 9.56 = 59.90

Thanks, you’re right. I just checked 10 invoices of random companies of my recent orders and they all have the same kind of calculation.

Couldn’t you tell me that before I wasted 5 hours looking for a solution? ??
