Hello, How do I create a targeting condition to exclude a category page? I know that I can exclude posts that are set to a specific category. I can also exclude pages. When I select “blog index”, it doesn’t work. I’m trying to ensure that a certain popup doesn’t show up on my category pages. Thank you for the help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @spost – Basically, if you do not want to set a popup on a specific category then you will need to set the?Targeting Condition to Categories: Selected?and on the input field, you will need to select the?category that you want the popup to hide from. After that, click the?(!)?so that it turned to red.

Please note that if you click the?(!)?button for any condition?(it turned to red)?then it will apply the?opposite of the chosen condition.

That way, the popup will?NOT?be displayed only to that chosen category page. To make it more clear for you, please see this screencast from my own test site:?https://share.getcloudapp.com/8LuJqZ02

Could you please try that and let us know if that works for you?

If that helps, then we would very much appreciate it if you could quickly?rate the plugin, just to help us spread the word.

Otherwise, for us to assist you further with your issue, you will need to escalate it directly to our HelpScout support desk. Check out this link:?https://wppopupmaker.com/support/?Thank you.

    Hi Maria,
Thanks for the detail. It looks like I’ll have to submit a ticket. I set some exclusion conditions but the popup still shows up on the category pages that I excluded it from.
