Target URL not working?

    Using WP 6.1.1 and the newest Live News. Making a ticker for the whole website works fine, but specifying a URL doesn’t seem to work.

    • tried the complete URL like https://abc.com/def/
    • tried just abc.com/def/
    • tried /def/
    • tried def
    • tried / for the homepage

    none of that works aand no ticker plops up at all. Is there a specific syntax or structure?!

    Hello bastianba,

    the full URL should be specified. Please try the following variations with the “www.” part and the final slash:

    In addition, the plugin has two different alternative methods to detect the current URL. You can also test if using a different method solve. The option is Options -> Detect URL Mode.

    To instantly verify the effect of your changes please perform this test with the cache disabled, with the News Tickers -> Performance -> Transient Expiration set “0”, and with the news ticker transient properly deleted.

    thx, didn’t see the detect url mode at first – that fixed it.
