    Hi,
Im trying to set a static home page with the Tanzaku theme.

I have created a new ‘Home’ page with it’s content and have amended the Settings > Reading to Front page displays A static page then front page: Home but i’m not sure what to set for Posts page:?.

I basically want my posts to display exactly how the original index page worked, with the posts displaying in the grid format, but under the page title of portfolio

The result so far is that the home page is now displaying my static home page, but if I view my portfolio page which has the same coding as the original index page (with a template tag), all I get is the content from the homepage showing in one of the post grid panels & everything else in the central area is blank.

I’m working on my localhost, so can’t post a link. Any ideas of where i’m going wrong?

Create and publish another empty page called something like Blog. Select this as your posts page in Settings->Reading.

    Hi,
Thanks, I had already tried publishing an empty page called blog & selecting in the settings > reading. Unfortunately it had no effect.

I’ve tried simplifying the code in the template i’m using for the page I want to use as my static homepage & then reviewed at the code in the index.php page but not sure if this is the right track as it’s a little over my head!

    Hi Guys,

I am having the same issue with the Tarnished theme… does anyone have any advice on this?

    Thanks!
