Several genuine users who have been blocked from logging in by this plugin. One just now had reason given as:

    United Kingdom: 79.79.229.102

I can’t find anything listed as being wrong with that IP address. It is however from TalkTalk and I’ve spotted one or two others the same. Is there a setting I can change to allow them through?

This example was worse in that the captcha didn’t show, so the user couldn’t complete an Allow Request. Under what circumstances does that happen?

    Many thanks.

  • The IP range was a large source of spam over a period of several weeks, so I blocked the range. You can add the IP to the allow list by entering 79.64.0.0/12 on one line.

I just deleted it from the GB list, so in the upcoming release it will not be blocked – but I expect that talktalk will still host spammers.

OpenCaptcha is failing regularly and I am looking for a free alternative. My ad blocker is killing OpenCaptcha. It is best to select another of the captcha choices – even the “stupid arithmetic” option.
