I set up a site in a /wp/ subdirectory and am ready to take it live. I’m using one of the pages as the homepage by selecting it in the reading settings pull-down. I put the index.php (with adjusted url) into the main director and removed the /wp/ from Blog address (URL) but now the subpages for the main page don’t work. They don’t 404 either, they just completely don’t work (I get an error from the host)

Am I missing some part of this?

To clarify, let’s say I have the following structure for pages and subpages:

    Main
    -about
    -contact
    Productions
    -film
    -music

Main is designated as the homepage and it works, but the permalink is just the root URL. The only ones that do not work are “about” and “contact” which it’s trying to load as url.com/main/about etc…

Never mind! There was an html file in the root directory with the same name as one of my permalinks and that was messing it up!
