Taking recommendations for a code insertion plugin ? Please ?

    I’m trying to find a plugin to insert “as is” HTML code into blog posts (that, this is very easy to find), but the trouble is I would like to add a more specific option.

    I’d like to add the possibility to select all that html code in one go.
    I don’t know the specific terms, but that requires, in a way, to place that code inside a sort of box, do you see the idea ?

    I’ve seen that on various places about coding, but not yet on wordpress blogs.

    Would you know how that can be done, perhaps ?
    Or, even better, would you know of a wordpress “insert code as is” plugin that would have that option ?

  • Are you wanting to insert code for display, or to be executed/parsed?

    I’m not sure if this is what you require but I coded a Plugin a while ago to insert blocks of html code anywhere you wish on your blog via shortcodes.

    More precisely, this is for a code my visitors are invited to copy and paste elsewhere.
    This code will sometimes be two lines long and is surrounded (above, and below) with other texts, so having it selected at once when we click inside would be a considerable bonus.

    @ David : that was not what I need, however your plugin is really interesting ?? I didn’t know this level of post content template customization was possible, I keep the information in a corner of memory.

    Then I would start by taking a look at the various Syntax-Highlighting Plugins available, and emulating them.
