Taking over editing/build of existing WP website from someone else?

  • We have had a graphic designer build us a website using word press however we aren’t happy with it – can I download word press and take over editing our site?

  • Yes but you will need to install WordPress locally first.

    You can certainly re-build or even back and restore it to a new server?

    Did they build the website on wordpress.com? or is it on another server? Can you use the same account and just take it over?

    I would be happy to give you a bit more direction, cut I would need to know a few more details.

    WordPress is a tremendously easy tool to work with. There is a small learning curve, but a basic website can be up and running quickly. It integrates very will with social media sites via a large number of plugins, some better than others.

    Go for it and take control of your own website. It’s not that difficult.
