taking long to save draft or publish

    I have wordpress version 3x running on centos 5, php 5.3. All of a sudden on my production box I cannot seem to publish or save a post, It only save a couple of paragraphs. I have transferred the files and mysql dump to a test box and tested it and it works fine. There are no errors in any log files. What is this problem?

    I get the following message after very long time

    ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: https://www.domain.com/wp-admin/post.php

The following error was encountered:

    Read Timeout

    [No Error]

A Timeout occurred while waiting to read data from the network. The network or server may be down or congested. Please retry your request.

    Your cache administrator is root.

    I cannot save or publish with a post containing hyperlinks
