Taking default value from database

  • Thank you for a flexible plugin!

    I am colleting data from different users and they give multiple similar entries. I would like to use their previous input data as default value for their next entry. How can I do that?

    Currently it is very easy to enter default value for any field but that is static and the same for all users. I would like this to take dynamic value based on the pervious data entered bt the user.

    There is some reasonably advanced coding involved because you’ll need both a mechanism for determining which user it is, and then you’ll need to retrieve the record to use as your starting point. This can all be done in the signup template, but it will be complex.
