Taken over the site???

  • I have just installed the WP Super Cache plugin and altered a setting or two and now I find that it has taken over my WordPress login. I have the entire page full of error messages and cannot access any of my WP back office features. Everything has disappeared (the whole page is full of –

  • I’m not a techie, but I’ve had similar problems with other cache plugins and simply contacted my web host. HostGator helped in a few minutes set it all right.

    Have you tried to access your site via FTP and delete the plugin from the plugins folder? It’s usually under wp_content, but I haven’t done that with a caching plugin. It worked doing so with a different plugin altogether, though.

    That data comes from your config file, wp-content/wp-cache-config.php – looks like a missing <?php tag at the top of the file.

    You could try updating the settings in the plugin admin page or uninstall and reinstall the plugin.
