• Pros
Extensive range of options and features in the free version. Very insightful documentation and support articles. Over a million downloads!

    Cons
Redirect is undoubtedly useful – but the PRO price-hike is very steep.
Typical WordPress: designed for conversational bloggers – not designed for the majority of content actually produced on the WordPress platform.
In the free version, it’s almost impossible to achieve a good score unless you spend at least 20 mins per post… fiddling with text, sticking in keyword phrases all over the place, adding paragraphs of waffle and dumbing-down your writing style.

    Recommended for users
If you use ACF, then make sure you add the “ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO” plugin – but beware that at the time of writing it has not been updated for many months and is untested on the current version of WordPress.

    Recommendation to Yoast developers
Please add a setting in the PRO version to define your readers and tweak the readability accordingly, i.e. if my website is aimed at scientists – containing big words and technically complex content, then the reading score should account for this.
