tags visibility

Hi all,

I am wondering if I hide my blog’s tags visibility, do search engines index my tags easily? I am not going to remove them or else, only will change the css part to hidden.

I don’t want them to be seen to visitors because they look ugly and a bunch of confusing keywords but I know their importance for one’s website ranking in search engines.
