tags seen as pages

Using Slimstat 3.95 and Pinboard theme. In Slimstat displays tags are seen as pages. This is in realtime log, bounce pages, entry pages. Internal pages are seen as well and while these could be from bookmarks, this is a new site and most of the hits are mine. The site root is the primary landing page, but I am concerned about these other stats and whether over time they will be counted with ‘legitimate’ page hits. Further I do not understand how a tag can be an entry page. I have searched for this and could not find it, so I must have a configuration problem. But where to look?
My site, by the way, is all WP with a static home page, two other static pages and a blogpage.
