tags search: implementation planned?

  • Hi there,

    yeah, I’ve read that Better Search isn’t able to search through tags yet. But let me ask anyway, since I like the other features of this plugin VERY much: is searching for tags something that you will implement in the near future? I desperately need something that works with Easy Digital Downloads and its downloads tags.

    It’s not something I have planned at least in the core plugin for now as it actually deviates from the core FULLTEXT search that is core.

    What are you thinking for the implementation? That if you have a tag it puts that first or that it restricts searches to that tag? Because you already have a tag view in WordPress anyway

    I would like to develop this feature if it’s possible, so are you working on it?

    It’s not planned for immediately delivery right now right now.

    I’d like to consider tags from the taxonomy as well in the search results. Is there a function to turn this on? I’m not sure how to understand the answers. Acutally my search does not affect on tags.
