Tags not working in Textbook theme

Its the excerpts on this page I want to reduce (so theyre about the same height as the thumbnails.): https://sculecentre.ex.ac.uk/research/projects/

The /projects page is not working with 503 error. Let us know when it is back up so we can take a look at the excerpt sizes.

I see that some posts show up when I select a tag from the sidebar (e.g. “Patent Law”) while others don’t. This could only mean that those tags are not assigned to any posts. However, this is not an issue with the theme but rather with WordPress and you should post in these support forums:

Ow wow! Thanks Fotis, I see the tags are working. I must have been really unlucky and randomly clicked all the tags that werent assigned to any posts!!

However… when I click the Disability Law tag it shows ‘Nothing Found’. I go to the Posts>Tags in WP Admin and can see that under the Count column for ‘Disability Law’ it says 2. (Suggesting its been tagged in 2 posts?). When I click on the 2 it shows ‘No posts found.’. What am I doing wrong/misunderstanding?

Could you check if there are any posts in Drafts or in the Trash?

Ive gone to Mine/Published/Bin/Draft and no posts are tagged with Disability Law. Odd!?!?

I still believe that this is an issue with your WordPress installation rather than the theme itself. Posting in the general support forums is the way to go.

Just following up on this one – we aren’t able to do the custom coding for you, but if you want to make a child theme, this code may help. Look for “Custom excerpt and read more link”
