Tags not available

    Hi,

    I’m running release 5.4.2 and using theme twenty twenty unmodified and only 4 active plug-ins relevant to security.

    Just building my Blog.

    I’ve hard coded 24 tags using the “add new tag” menu under posts.

    However when I then edit a post or create a new post none of these Tags are available under the “Document/Tags” right panel OR if I insert a Tag Cloud block the Block gives the error message ” Your site doesn’t have any tags, so there’s nothing to display here at the moment”

    I can manually add a new tag via the right panel and it shows in my Tag library but that Tag is then not available / shown for any other post.

    Please can you help this Novice Blogger?

  • Existing tags appear in the editor when you type at least two characters of it. A list of matching tags appear below the tag input. You may select one of them to ensure spelling it as the existing one, or else you will add a new tag.

    No existing tags are just shown without typing in the block editor. In the classic editor there is a “Most popular” tab to see them.

    Only tags that are actually used on a published post are shown in the tag cloud widget. Add some and check again.
