Tags never change

  • Hi, thanks for the plugin!

    I installed it around six months ago following instructions using name – random, 20 items, and this 20 items have been exactly the same since then, different order but the same 20 tags (I have a total of 2,456 tags). I have tried count-random too, same 20 tags. I use cache but I fully delete cache at least 10 times a day every day so it’s not a cache issue. Am I doing something wrong or maybe missing a step? I’m using your latest version.

    I cannot fix this – wordpress get tags by name or count and then show them in random order.

    Hi Flector, so the random option on the plugin is not working because I have to change/disable/enable a default wordpres function?
    Would you be so kind to include that necessary tweak on the installation instructions? I thought I had just to choose random on the plugin options for all my tags to be displayed randomly.
    Because on the module config a combination of Order tags by: (count or name) and Tag order direction: (ascending, descending or random) has to be choosed, there’s no option to disable count/name to use random by itself.
    Maybe I just don’t get what random means in this context.

    I’m sorry, but I cannot help you.
    Function wp_tag_cloud (that I use in plugin) does not allow to show really random tags.
