• Hi
I’m using the Bing webmaster tools and received a notification that my site does not contain any <H1> tags. I use Yoast for SEO and I thought I configured everything properly (metadescription and so on), but I guess not.

So I thought I’d make the page and post titles <H1> tags, I mean the words I put in the Title slot (so not adding a title to the description field, if that makes sense).

I understand how to make header tags in the description field, but how do I make them in the title field?

Thanks so much for your help!

  • You can literally just add them to the title field. I use this method to add italics.

But if your theme is already wrapping those titles in some other element (you haven’t provided a link to your site, so I can’t check), then you’re just going to get validation errors.

The solution is to look at how your theme is handling this.

I’m not sure what my theme does, I’m very new at using wordpress.

    This is my site:
    pmptherapy.com

Unfortunately, that’s a paid theme, which we can’t provide support for here. You’ll need to get support from StudioPress:
