First of all, THANK YOU for this plugin. I’ve been struggling with Jetpack’s flakiness for over a year and I’m thrilled to finally have something that actually works as advertised!

However, a problem I’ve noticed is that when a post is first crossposted to Tumblr, it has no tags. If I go back into the WordPress post and save it again, they do show up on Tumblr, but I’m wondering why they don’t just do that to begin with. Is this fixable?

    Thanks so much!

I’m using Tumblr Crosspostr quite regularly and I haven’t noticed this at all, so I’m afraid I can’t explain why you are. Problem with tag parsing, maybe? Are your tags especially complex or contain odd characters, maybe?

Can you activate Tumblr Crosspostr’s detailed debugging log (look in its Settings screen for an “Enable detailed debugging information” checkbox), and then send me the log’s output so I can take a look?

    Thanks.

Nope, just regular tags like “lists” and “batman” and things like that.

Is there a way to get the error log without turning it on for my whole site? From what I can tell if I turn it on globally it’s going to post every error on my site on every page of it for every visitor.

Nope. WordPress only provides one debug log.

Hmm, okay. Well, I’m not positive but I *think* it’s mostly happening when I schedule a post. If it’s posted immediately it seems to include the tags the first time.

:\ I don’t have the resources to devote to examining this without being given more specifics. If you can take the time to write up a bug report and submit it to me in my issue tracker it will be easier for me to devote more resources to hunting this possible bug down.

    Thanks. ??

Okay, thanks. Since I can’t really practically use the debug log I’ll try to keep an eye on things and see if I can find a pattern to it. Luckily it’s not a huge issue since I can usually fix it by updating the post on WP.

    Thanks again =)
