I installed the plugin and went through the wizard, then set up a few groups. But now when I visit the “Tags” page from the admin menu the list of tags is empty.

There is no drop down menu at the top to select to view by group or “not assigned” like there is in the tutorials.

My tags still appear on the front end, and are counted in the Tag Groups Settings, but I can’t manage or organize them because they are missing from the list under Posts -> Tags in the admin area.

  • This sounds like a JavaScript issue. In the Tag Groups Settings, Back End, you should find an option to disable the filter for the Tags page. You can also go to the Troubleshooting page, First Aid tab, and reset the tag filter. That should bring the tags back.

In order to use the filter on the Tags page, you would first need to identify the cause of the error (see link above).

Thank you Chris, that fixed it!

I got this error for the first time ever with the new Version 1.44.1 update.

Went to Posts –>Tags, filtered by unassigned – to sort new tags into groups, did that, went elsewhere in admin, with filter left in place (as I usually do, as it allows to quickly sort new stuff – the only function I do regularly on this page)
Came back to Tags page – No filter anymore and “No tags” message, with overall tag count gone as well.
Went to First Aid, reset filter – tags and filter are back on the Tags page, but using filter to show unassigned only gives the same effect – No tags and filter are gone instantly.

Went to Health & Troubleshooting mode, left only tags groups active – same behavior.

@kuzzzma you should probably start a new thread instead of commenting on this one, you’re much more likely to get an answer that way ??

@kuzzma The button on the Troubleshooting page is just a temporary fix. See the link above, mainly points 3 and 4.
