TAGS-Can someonehelp please

Hello, I am new to this forum and mostly computer illiterate due to learning problems that I have. My WordPress blog was updated from an old version to the very newest.In the old version when you wrote a tag it would appear on the blog page,once the blog was published.On the new version I can not seem to make the tag I write after i finish my blog to appear on the list of tags on the published version.Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong or not understand..thank you
