Tags and seo keywords ????

  • Hi everyone,
    Can someone tell me the difference between tags and seo keywords? To me they are the same. I noticed pages don’t use tags, only seo keywords while posts use both tags and seo keywords. Could it be that they are gained the same way but just used for 2 different purposes which gives the two different names? Plus, are they gained from the title only or the whole content of the post or page. Please help this noob out.

  • Tags are another way of categorising the content on your site. They have no direct automatic relationship with your seo keywords.

    tags and seo keywords are different;

    however, I (automatically) add my post tags to the meta keywords (together with the post’s categories), and I would assume that some seo plugins do the same … unless the plugin allows the user to set specific keywords for the posts.

    my personal feeling is (not statistically backed by any data) that this at least helps to get better targeted adsense ads.
