tags & search engines indexing after page not on first page anymore

  • Are tags more effective on newer posts (or sticky posts) while they are on front page or first post on the Blog?

    Do search engines prioritize those tags and after the post get down or it becomes older, do search engines kinda drop them slowly?That is the impression I get on my blog…I would like to know that for sure.

    Sometimes I get a VERY VERY high indexing in Google with my tags while my post is first on my blog and U get the impression if I unstik the post or when it gets old the tags dont bring as much traffic…

  • I wouldn’t be too worried about which is getting indexed more, just make sure you have enough links on your homepage to recent content. That’s how the engines will know what is most recent and what needs to be indexed faster.

    Also, having an XML sitemap is generally a good idea.
