Tagging Posts for Multiple Categories

  • I wanted to know if it’s possible to tag posts for multiple categories. For example: I have Post1 and I tag it with Tag1 and Tag2. I want to put Post1 into the categories of Blog and Media. Is that possible?

  • Yes. Categories and tags are independent of one another.

    When I tag post in multiple categories, the index on the top of the post is:

    Home >> News >> BlogNews Clips

    I’m trying to put the tagged post in two categories, “Blog” and “News Clips”

    However, the two categories are mushed together. Any ideas on how to separate the two with a space?

    Are you using a plugin to show the breadcrumbs trail? You might want to refer to the plugin’s instructions to see if describes how multiple categories are handled.

    No, I’m not using a plugin. I’m using the tag function already within WordPress. I check two categories and what happens is what I described above.
