• I have been searching for the fix . . . Another thread here says the problem is resolved. It is NOT. Every tag gets transformed into all lower case letters. As you can see on the page I have referenced, the author’s name is a tag (so users can find all references on my site to that writer). But in the caption under her photo, her name appears in all lower case letters rather than in the correct format I typed into the post: Susan Meissner. Please advise how to correct this. Thank you!

  • I’ve been having the same issue. I’ve played with PHP versions (8.1.17 and 8.2.5), too. I’ve tried disabling various plugins which might provide some sort of interference (best guess).

The one I just caught, though, was a term that I have set as excluded. Yet, it was still highlighted and case changed.

I also then realized something else. In the content, the capitalization was missing (as if it is using the slug), but the tag cloud at the bottom was correct (matching the capitalization of the tag Term as defined).

    WordPress v6.3.

Lastly, I turned off all the options on the dashboard. Then I uninstalled the plugin, confirming removal of data. Then I reinstalled the plugin(Version 3.10.0). Now things seem to be working correctly. If I remember correctly, I had this installed when some of the features were not legacy (maybe even before legacy became a tab?), or their implementations weren’t, at least.

Not sure if that was the “solution”, but is was a relatively painless resolution.

Just wanted to provide all of that after reading the frustration from @jhsesq and @stevejburge (understanding both sides of that).

Thanks so much, @starlyth. That’s exactly the kind of testing needed to solve a tricky situation like this.

Hopefully uninstalling and reinstalling will solve this for others.

We’ve been unable to recreate this on any recent versions of TaxoPress.

Have also been facing this same issue
