Tag Surfer and Widget Queries

    I have just taken over someone else’s WP site and I’m on a steep learning curve. A couple of things have me foxed.

    1. I sometimes find “Tag-” and “Category-Surfer” options in my Dashboard links, but other times not. In fact the Dashboard seems to load in randomly different ways at different times. Is this a WP Feature? How do I get to the surfer options otherwise?

    2. I have some widgets installed in the sidebars but I can’t see how to change the order of them in the bar. Also the first one appears to load arbitrarily above the main page title but with no indication of why. Clues please.

    1. If those are plugins, please look in your Plugins Installed and provide a link to download those plugins

    2. Widgets are administered under Appearance->Widgets, but some sidebars that display Widgets also have ‘hard-coded’ Template Tags, typically in the sidebar.php Template file.

    Trap for newbies

    Turns out that the tag and Blog surfers are only available from the global dashboard and since our site is hosted locally, I was looking for them on the local dashboard and not finding them.
