Tag no longer working after upgrade

  • Hi, I imagine this is a pretty common issue, but somehow after the upgrade, my tags are no longer pulling the galleries, it will be pretty clear on the page in the link. I see the quotation marks are not the same on each side of the ID, but in the code they are, not sure what that’s about. Any idea? Thanks!

    hey,

    What other plugins do you have installed? Something is intercepting the page content for some reason and changing the quotes. Are you using a translation plugin by any chance?

    Yes we are, but we always have. It probably got updated at the same time and somehow now they conflict? It is WPML.

    The English version is showing [foogallery id=”185″]
    While the French version is showing [foogallery id= ?185″]

    In both cases the first quotation mark is wrong, but in the code its right, now sure how to prevent it from being changed, or if that is actually the issue?

    I am not sure how the first quote is being changed. If you copy the shortcode and paste it into notepad or another text editor, is the quote correct?

    Also try using the shortcode without quotes.

    Yeah in notepad it looks fine:

    [foogallery id=”185″]

    Without the quotes I just see the same thing but without the quotes. I left it without the quotes so you can see.
