    Hi,

I was having an issue saving Google Tag Manager code within Seedprod. It kept blaming the host. Turns out it was a security plugin issue on WordPress. Mine specifically was from WordFence (Which I love and highly recommend to track every login attempt and security hack from happening on your site.)

Anyway, this is the story and the fix.

So seedprod, the coming soon maintenance plugin on WordPress, was having issues saving Google Tag Manager code in the Header Script, and Body Script. It kept reading as an error and wouldn’t let me save it. The error itself said it was a host issue. I was able to find out that it was my WordPress Security plugin WordFence. WordFence notifies you about logins, or attempted logins, and keeps malicious cyber attacks on your website from happening. This was preventing my scripts from saving in SeedProd.

To fix the problem you go into Wordfence > Tools> Live Traffic and you’ll see your attempts to visit the site. These attempts are you trying to save the script.

Click on one of the lines (or your attempts) to save the script, and you’ll see “ADD PARAM TO FIREWALL ALLOWLIST”. This will let WordFence know that you are ok, and saving scripts should work. That’s it.

If you have a similar security plugin, check the settings as well. Look for attempts and allow them.

    Hope this helps someone.
