Tag group hierarchy in sidebar?

    Hi,

    In the sidebar, is there a way of hierarchically grouping the tags by tag group? I currently have 20+ tags, which fall into a few groups, and I’d like to show the grouped. So for example I might have colours (green, red) and sizes (small, large), and at the moment they’re just one long list; whereas I would like to have them grouped as colour (just as a heading, with no checkbox), with green and red under it, and then separate group size, with small and large under it.

    I thought I already had this at some point, but perhaps I was dreaming as I can’t now find a way to do that…

  • Hi robaa,

    Tags groups unfortunately only exist in the backend for organizational purposes (i.e. won’t appear in (sidebar).

    Fortunately, since it appears you are a premium user, you can use custom fields which will appear in separate groups in the sidebar.

    For example, you create a custom field called “Colours”, set the Type to checkbox and set Searchable? to Yes (so it appears in sidebar).

    That’s great, thanks. I’ve not yet ventured into the custom fields, but this seems like a good opportunity to do so. ??
