    Hello,

I am unable to find a solution to this ‘Tag contains text, which is disallowed’ issue (google search console). Since I am using wordpress and a premium template there is no scope of appending any tag manually. Can someone kindly guide me (a non coder) how to resolve this issue. Or may be what creates this issue?

    Thank You

    Hello @glamsham

Thank you for contacting us, as we rechecked your website it seems there has been a script manually inserted in the header possibly using Code Snippets Pro plugin, also the script inserted has spaces making it invalid and creating a validation error

    < script async custom - element = "amp-analytics"
        src = "https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0/amp-analytics-0.1.js" >

JFI you don’t need to add script manually AMP plugin can find components that are being used on the AMP page and include the scripts that are required.

This means you just need to add <amp-analytics> tags and when the AMP plugin detects it on the page it will include the script required for it in the header.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello,

Thanks for the revert. So, for my clarification, the suggestion is to remove the following tag, which I had inserted using the Ad Inserter Pro below [ADINSERTER AMP]

    <script async custom-element="amp-analytics" src="https://cdn.ampproject.org/v0/amp-analytics-0.1.js"></script>

However, the confusion is this reference page [Add Analytics to AMP pages]

Also when you say, “just need to add tags” what would that literally mean. Does it get inserted by adding the AMP plugin or is it something else.

    Kindly guide.

    Hello,

I forgot to mention that I have removed the same. So, may be if you can check again and let me know if the amendment was correctly done.

    Thank you for your support.

    Hello @glamsham

I am still seeing the script, if you have a site cache or Cloudflare cache please clear them, once you removed the code and cleared the cache you can test AMP validation on AMP Validator
